FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 13, 2022
COLUMBIA, Mo. — T3, the proprietary technology that powers nationwide equipment and digital solutions provider EquipmentShare, was chosen as the 2022 AutoTech Breakthrough Award Winner for bringing an innovative camera solution to the market with its AI dash cam. T3 is building connectivity in a previously-disconnected industry and providing unprecedented visibility with assets like its T3 Dash Cams.
“In a world where customers have many options, we’re honored to see T3 Dash Cams stand out and cut through the noise. We are bringing innovative solutions to the market. Our greatest competitive advantage is that it’s powered by T3 – the operating system for construction. We’re excited to be acknowledged for protecting the number one asset in business and that’s people. At the end of the day, we want everyone to get home safely,” said President of Product Willy Schlacks.
When an incident occurs, there is nothing more powerful than the truth. The 2022 Driver Safety Solution of the Year T3 Dash Cams automatically record two-way video before, during and after an incident, helping you avoid false insurance claims and establish the facts. Our AI technology detects distracted driving, cell phone and seatbelt usage, sudden braking and unsafe acceleration. T3 Dash Cams can send an in-cab notification to help drivers stay focused. The cameras can also protect against potential litigation.
Millis Equipment in Texas installed T3 Dash Cameras in its trucks, and it saved the company from being involved in a lawsuit. A small sedan pulled out in front of a Millis truck, and the driver claimed the Millis driver was at fault. The driver made an insurance claim against Millis Equipment to be compensated for the damage to their vehicle. Thanks to footage from the T3 Dash Cam, it was obvious the Millis driver was not at fault, and he maintained his clean driving record.
“The cameras kept us out of a courtroom. The other driver had no idea we had a dash cam. Because of the T3 Dash Cam, we avoided having our guy tied up in a courtroom for a day and out of the shop. My mechanic didn’t have to spend a day testifying, and it saved us time and money,” said Chade Dickey, fleet manager, Millis Equipment.
To determine the winners, AutoTech researches, analyzes and recognizes the "breakthrough" leaders in the most competitive categories of technology. AutoTech says it wants to provide its communities with market intelligence that is more comprehensive than what other programs are doing, which leads to a high volume of nominations (more than 1,500 this year).
The Driver Safety Solutions of the Year Award is the third consecutive win for EquipmentShare’s innovative tech stack. In 2021, EquipmentShare’s T3 won the AutoTech Breakthrough Fleet Management Innovation Award and in 2020, the company was named the Fleet Management Technology Company of the Year.
