Ed Erdel - Little Dixie Operations Manager: “I go back to service every time. I don’t want to buy and I don’t want to rent if I can’t get it serviced. EquipmentShare has always just been there. And they come. And that’s what I like. “
Theresa Griffith - Little Dixie Project Coordinator: “EquipmentShare is definitely a game changer for us. Keeping our fleet in check and knowing where everybody is at. Keeping our drivers safe, knowing they’re obeying all the laws on the road. Being able to track their movements, how quick they’re braking, how fast they’re going.”
Kale Dempsey - Little Dixie Controller: “The difference between EquipmentShare and everyone else - it’s not just rentals, it is T3, it is the tracking of all of our equipment, all of our trucks. It’s the innovation that is coming. It’s seeing the next steps that can make our jobs both more efficient and more profitable.”
Dempsey – “It answers questions we didn’t know we had. “You know… what was the equipment doing? When did we start, when did we stop? I forgot to record my time. I can go check those things. What’s our utilization? How much time are we spending on idle? How much wasted fuel? That’s a big important item with this economic environment.”
Dempsey – “I was looking at a lot of different metrics and trying to figure out ways to save fuel. After doing some research, the industry standard should be about 5% idle time. At the time, the T3 reports were saying we were north of 14%. So, after working with our field and working with our office team, after a month, we went from 14 down to 5%. Cut our fuel bill roughly in half in a 3-month span.”
Griffith – “We’re always a moving target wanting to stay ahead of the curve with technology and EquipmentShare has definitely helped us in that realm. I’m not really quite sure how we handled things without the technology we have today.”
Erdel – “To be able to track it, pull it up on a computer, say it’s right here. It was used for this long, we can charge this much on rent. It’s made accounting so much easier. From service to rental to diagnostics to tracking. It’s a win-win. I would say if construction had an easy button, it would be called EquipmentShare.”
