EquipmentShare is a leading tech-enabled construction solutions provider dedicated to enabling every jobsite to run more productively and safely. We bring together the youngest rental fleet in the industry with a proprietary cloud-connected technology platform, T3, that offers first-of-its-kind visibility and connectivity to the jobsite.

Our Story

EquipmentShare was founded in 2015 by experienced contractors – brothers Jabbok and Willy Schlacks – on a mission to transform the construction industry through technology. Raised in the Midwest, the Schlacks brothers gained construction experience at an early age, including founding and running numerous construction and general contracting businesses. This provided Jabbok and Willy with firsthand understanding of the inefficiencies that have plagued construction for decades – and the determination to fix it.

They built EquipmentShare to enable every contractor to run more effective and efficient jobsites – bringing together a nationwide equipment distribution network with a first-of-its-kind technology and telematics system, T3, that gives unprecedented visibility to contractors and helps better manage assets, people and materials.

Today, EquipmentShare is the fastest-growing equipment solutions provider in the U.S. The company has grown into a team of over 5,000 employees across an expanding footprint of 215+ prime location rental, retail and service centers, offering over 200,000 connected assets.

As we look back on the milestones and achievements of the past year, I am filled with immense pride in what we have accomplished together at EquipmentShare. Our unwavering commitment to excellence and cutting-edge technology has propelled us to unprecedented heights, solidifying our position as a leading force in the construction rental equipment industry.
In 2023, EquipmentShare continued its tradition of driving industry trends by proactively embracing and shaping the evolving landscape. With the construction industry undergoing transformative changes, our focus on harnessing the power of cloud technology has been pivotal. Our cloud-powered solutions represent a proactive strategy to enhance operational efficiency and redefine the customer experience for both contractors and end-clients.
At EquipmentShare, our technology team remains at the forefront of addressing customer needs and fostering connectivity within the industry. The remarkable growth of our T3 platform, our operating system for construction, with more than 200,000 connected assets, is a testament to our commitment to innovation. Looking ahead to 2024, we plan to amplify our technological footprint through expanded distribution capabilities and strategic partnerships with original equipment manufacturers, ensuring our customers benefit from the latest advancements in construction technology.
In 2023, we also made important investments in our footprint and fleet to ensure we can continue to grow with our customers and provide the comprehensive equipment solutions and service they need. We closed the year with an expanded footprint, boasting 215 branches across 38 states. This growth is a result of our strategic focus on organic expansion, with 60 new sites opening last year, contributing significantly to our increased reach and impact.
Even as EquipmentShare scales, our commitment to serving and empowering the communities we operate in remains steadfast. Through active community engagement, support for local organizations and the impactful work of the EquipmentShare Foundation, we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
